Together, the two discover there are worse things than being a scientific curiosity. Someone’s been killing people who possess Sam's gene. A mysterious man from France sends letters that offer hope for safety, but also reveal a sinister connection with Nazi experiments.
The more time Sam spends with Will, the less she can imagine life without him. When Sam uncovers secrets from her past, she must choose between keeping Will in her life or keeping Will safe.
My Review/Thoughts: This book was sort of a random read for me. I have never heard of it, and first saw it while looking through the free books in the kindle book department of Amazon. After looking at this beautiful cover, I decided to take a look on Goodreads and check out the reviews. Most were fairly good, a few negative ones here and there. However, I did enjoy what I heard, and therefore decided to read it.
What I read, I thoroughly enjoyed.
Samantha, or Sam as she is referred to in the story, is a unique being. Basically, she can turn invisible, or as others like to call it: Ripple. One day, without doing so intentionally, she ripples in front other people, one of which was Will, her good friend. To her surprise, Will acts normal, and doesn't take it as a big revelation. Instead, he is one of the few people who actually knows what is going on. Samantha has a disease known as Ripplers Syndrome, that allows her to "ripple", or turn invisible. She is one of the few people, and it isn't necessarily a good thing. It turns out that there are people after her, and she soon begins to figure out why.

This story was really good! I haven't really read a novel with this plot, so I was fairly intrigued. I wasn't necessarily sure as to what expect from this read, and now that I finished, I am so excited for the second book.
My favorite character was Will. He was strong, reliable, and so utterly cute. I think that he was a well developed character, especially for Sam. The both of them made a good couple. Sam, or Samantha, the main protagonist, was also another favorite character of mine. Considering that she was the main character. As the main character, I felt that she wasn't too much of a whiny girl. She was tough and independent.
Sam and Will: oh the tension! Romantically, that is. They have a little flame going on, but then they don't because they really wouldn't want to make it too awkward, but then again it is present. Love is always complicated, and in this novel, it definitely is! However, it wasn't an annoyance for me. I actually enjoyed it, to my surprise.
This book ultimately kept my heart racing, and that surprise, like, oh my gosh, it was so good! I absolutely enjoyed this book, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a unique story with many twists!
Overall, I gave this book a 4 out of 5 stars!
