Hello everyone! I have some exciting news today. I have been nagging at my father for the past couple of weeks for a Kindle Paperwhite. I have never owned any Kindle or eReader, and have been dying to have one for a while now. You see, my bookshelf isn't getting any bigger, and carrying around two to three books in my backpack has taken a toll on my shoulders. And lets face it, physical copies of books are pretty expensive compared to the prices of eBooks. Therefore, I thought it would be more convenient if I asked for a new Kindle, and after the many reviews that I have seen on YouTube, I was set on the new Paperwhite. At first my dad was not on my side, as he believed it to be a better experience if I had nothing but physical copies of books so that when I grow old, I will be able to share them with my children. (Awh, how sweet, lol.) While I do agree with him to a certain extent, I have no space in my room to own the number of books that I want to read. Also, taking a trip to the library every other day has been a bother to my mother. (I don't drive yet.) And when I found out that I could check out eBooks from the library, I was so excited, and even told my mother. (Who was immediately excited and all for the Kindle.) Gosh. I didn't know that is what THAT much of a bother to her, lol. Anyways, after coming home from a sleepover with my volleyball team, my mother insisted that I check my father's emails for anything suspicious. I figured she was just being jealous of his Facebook friends, or something. You know, old people. lol.
Anyways, as I searched his email, I assured her that there was nothing that was suspicious. She insisted that I keep looking, and as I almost gave up, I came a across this email from Amazon that read "You're Purchase of the Amazon Kindle Paperwhite has been confirmed." Excitement as well as a bit of skepticism began to spread through my mind. I was soo happy! My mother then informed me that she knew all about it, and the searching through his email was all my dad's idea. You got me there, Father. Good one! I gave him a hug, followed by a million Thank You's. He said that I deserved it, due to my good performance in school, and the fact that I have no boyfriend. lol. (You know dad's.) He said, "I would buy you books anytime, as long as you stay away from boys." Lol. I can't promise him anything, as I've got a date tonight with the boy in my next novel, haha! Anyways, the expected delivery date is Thursday, April 4th. I am so excited! YAY :D. After I've had it for about a week, I will post up a review of it, and my thoughts!
Happy Reading :)
